Bel-Air… One Word… Luxury

Set at the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, you will find a paradise like no other.  A relatively small area just north of Sunset Blvd. between Beverly Hills and Brentwood.  It’s simply known as "Bel-Air", and that’s with a hyphen.  The prestige that is associated with this name and more importantly, this address, is irrefutable.  The "Bel-Air Estates" were named after their developer Alfonso Bell, who had purchased the area in 1922 and started to break it into one-acre lots for large homes to be built.  It was a gated community with huge iron gates (that still stand today) with uniformed guards at its two entrances.  Today this semi-gated community is graced with a natural beauty that even Mother Nature could not have accomplished on Her own.  This location became famous when several of the top entertainment industry executives and movie stars discovered it back in the 1940's.

Famed movie stars known to have lived in Bel-Air include Cary Grant, Ronald Reagan (from after his presidency until he died… Nancy is still there), Zsa Zsa Gabor, Marlon Brando, and many, many more.  Today it is filled to the brim with famous faces.  Whether you enter through the East Gate near the quaint Beverly Glen neighborhood or through the West Gate on the corner of Sunset and Bellagio, you will feel as though you have entered an oasis of sorts.

The refreshing greenery is everywhere and comes to a climax in the center, at the gorgeous Bel-Air Hotel and Gardens.  A popular wedding venue for the rich and famous, this world-class hotel embodies what Bel-Air is all about… Pure Luxury.

Among the swans and the orange blossoms, you can stroll the gardens and lose yourself in a fairytale, which is why Conde Nast has called it "one of the finest hotels in the world."  You can enjoy beautiful "Concerts on the Green", as well as Culinary Classes from world-class chefs… not to mention their "Winemaker" Dinners featuring "top of class" wines hand-chosen from their fabulous wine list.

Did we mention the Bel-Air Country Club?
In 1927, the beautifully exclusive Bel-Air Country Club with its world-class Golf Course was inaugurated.  It quickly became known as one of the most prestigious places to be seen playing golf on the west coast, with its very strict dress code and formal protocol.  Today, the dress code and protocol remain, but at least one does not need to be a resident of Bel-Air to be member, nor be a member just to live in Bel-Air.

Yes, that was the case 50 years ago!
So, congratulations on even entertaining the thought of living in Bel-Air… it is not a difficult decision when you consider what you get in return.  Enchanting luxury cloaked in prestige.   Just what your next home needs.
